HiLo Chair from Age Design

The new HiLo high chair is the first of what we hope will be many products from Montreal-based Age Design. Founded by parents Patrice Guillermin and Genevieve Grenier, the company seeks to provide simple, intelligent design for the contemporary home. The result is an utterly unique chair that is stylish as well as functional: safe, easy to clean, and simple to adjust. A crotch bar and belt secure baby to the comfy, molded plastic seat. When your bundle of joy gets older, simply flip the seat atop its sturdy wooden legs and, voila, you go from a high chair to a lower one that older children can push up to the table. Thus the HiLo can be utilized from 6 mos to 6 years. Which is good, 'cause it will retail on the higher end of things, near $425. The color selection alone, may justify the price for many hip parents. Choose from an array of contemporary hues with inspired nomenclature. The "asparagus" and "portobello" are so fabulous that I actually might not select my signature orange (or "carrot") above! Just introduced at this month’s ICFF convention, HiLo will be available in stores this fall. I can't wait to test it out.
