Neige

I picked up a really pretty blouse at a sample sale recently by a label I wasn't familiar with called Neige and the toddler receives compliments every time she wears it. The rest of the collection is just as lovely, but the thing that I fell in love with when I was browsing the site are the jackets...they're stunning! Cotton and seersucker for the spring, wool and tweed for the fall - they feature peter pan collars, a swingy, cropped silhouette and beautiful tailoring.
Neige means snow in French and the name was chosen for "its connotations of purity, innocence and sophisticated playfulness". Designer Adrienne Catrina worked as an assistant designer to Vera Wang before she had her own child and turned her attention to design for children's wear. Catrina's sophistication in design and tailoring shows, but she also upholds the need for comfort and age-appropriate style. And another plus? While many other labels stop at 5T or 6/7 years old, Neige goes up to 12. Hooray!
