Seat Chiller

One of Jess's most horrific memories is when Luke was a few months old and was burned by the metal part of his car seat harness. We lived in Las Vegas, so temperatures in the summer were well over 100. Long story short, the metal snap touched his 4 month old shoulder and he got a 3rd degree burn immediately. He's fine, and now 5+ years old and Jess swears she can still see the scar on his arm. We didn't have a product like this one, we just threw towels over the car seats when we weren't in the car. Now we are in Kentucky, with much more temperate weather, yet the car seat buckles still reach scorching temperatures in the summer.
"Seat Chiller is a one-size-fits-all car seat cooler made of vinyl, flannel, and flexible non-toxic ice packs. The concept behind the product is simple and very effective: Mom or Dad takes it from the freezer and places it on the child's car seat before buckling in. The seat and its buckles are instantly cooled, the Seat Chiller is removed, and then the child can be comfortably placed into the car seat. You can take it with you to use when running errands with your children to keep the seat chilled between stops or anytime the car will be sitting in the hot sun. I'm wondering how long you can be out and about and have it still stay cool, but this seems like a great product."
We'll be getting two, and I think it will make a great shower gift for our expecting friends as well.
