Zewi Blanket

zewi1.jpg

Swissmiss is celebrating her daughter's 1st birthday and has a top 10 list of her favorite baby gear. One of the items, the Swiss Zewi Blanket is completely new to me and so intriguing. It's basically a fitted sheet that has a sleepsack attached to it. You zip the baby in, and she can sleep, sit up, turn and twist, but cannot get out. It basically eliminates the need for a crib and makes travelling easy since you can bring it along and have a familiar bed for the baby to sleep in.

Unfortunately...you guessed it...it's not available in the states.

This looks like it has choking and suffocation hazzard written all over it as your kid rolls over a few times and can't get out. Looks more like bad design to me.

I would not use it for my child. Weired design

I agree that is looks strange and not very safe..........HOWEVER this bed sheet is the most amazing thing I have ever come accross when it comes to children and sleeping. I nannied for years for a swiss family in the states and they used them. The are the greatest thing ever!!! The child doesnt need a blanket, which is a MAJOR choking suffication hazard. I wish we could get them here!!!
