Fifibear's Brasserie - Frozen Organic Baby Food

fifi.jpg

There is a trend in baby food - parents are starting to pay more and more attention to what they are putting in baby's mouth. On the heals of the "obesity epidemic" here in the US, parents and food producers are taking a closer look at all of those ingredients you can't pronounce on the jars of baby food. It's a good thing, but there still isn't a very large selection of products to choose from out there.

Unless you are in Santa Barbara. In that case, you have Fifibear's Brasserie right in the neighborhood. The start to this company has a familiar ring to it; yet another mother of invention was trying to find a product as perfect as her baby, aka Fifibear. Fifbear's is the only baby food that has powdered flaxseed in it (that's about the best source of Omega-3s for baby vegetarians). They use no genetically modified foods and are USDA certified organic. With dishes like exotic asparagus risotto, unstuffed vegetarian peppers and Provence chicken, you may be tempted to sample some of them yourself.

I think Fifibear's is so great. My friend feeds this to her daughter, who loves it. It's now carried in Whole Foods stores, too (as well as online). I live in LA and it's also in a number of other smaller local health-conscious stores here such as Erewhon Natural Food Market. This is great stuff!

I love Fifibear's ! I've tried almost everything out there, and my daughter, Leeloo won't eat anything else. Worth every penny.
