Ju-Ju-Be Snack Capsule

54.jpg

I'm not usually a fan of ice cold water any other time of the year, but when summer rolls around, there's nothing more disappointing than bottled water that's been warmed by the sun - especially when you're hot and could use something refreshing. Same with sippy cups and milk bottles. Last year we wrote about the Bottle Rocket - that intriguing, molded silver capsule for bottles. The same company makes the Snack Capsule using Thinsulate for insulation to keep things nice and cool. A zippered pocket on top keeps utensils, pacis, wipes, whatever, in a separate compartment.

It's hard to visualize how big these mini-coolers can fit, so Alex Casey Baby was kind enough to send me one to check out. On a picnic one day, I was able to fit a sippy cup, a large apple and 2 little round snack containers of cheerios and cheddar bunnies. On a side note, the silvery exterior of the Snack Capsule is so clean and minimal, almost too sophisticated to send it off with the kid to school this Fall, that I might use it as a makeup bag for traveling. It's actually the perfect size.
