Spats by Soil

Remember legwarmers? I know, I know. What "remember"? They're here now. But I'm talking about originally when they came out, like in the 1980s. (Thank God my friend Barbie was generous enough to let her mom knit me a duplicate pair of her awesome lavender warmers or I might never have survived my preteens!) Well I'm now here to say to all you misguided kids out there who actually think that 80s fashion is something to emulate, forget legwarmers. Cause I'm predicting that the next hot trend for girls will be spats. Especially if they are as groovy as Soil's scalloped-sided, ultra suede pair with fancy mother of pearl buttons. A perfect way to dress up old boots or any outfit really.

I'm also rather smitten with these corduroy chimney sweep britches. Yep, britches and spats. The 80s are back. The 1880's that is!
Both are handmade by Ramona of Soil.
