Little Quilts, Big Style, Small Price

The older I get, the more I love quilts. I don't think that this affinity is due to my becoming more fuddy-duddy, but rather because today's quilters have taken their craft into the modern age. Long have I admired the bold work of Shelece of Little Quilts. Her large coverlets combine traditional style with bold colors and surprising patterns, for a look that would work well in almost any home. Only problem is, all that detailed work renders them a bit expensive. So I was very pleased to discover that Shelece also makes some quite adorable and rather affordable mini quilts. Hand sewn from vintage and reclaimed fabrics, these charming creations make for some wonderful artwork - perfect for adding a warm, one-of-kind touch to any nursery. And at around $35 each, you can get several!

And just in case you haven't seen them before, here's an example of a large quilt.
