Treehouse playset

treehouse.jpg

When I saw this treehouse playset at the Moderntots showroom awhile ago, I really wished that I have seen it before I decided to get a dollhouse for the toddler kid last Christmas. It's not like she doesn't play with her dollhouse, but I've been discovering that she's not a very girly girl; she has little interest in dolls and she's totally not interested in the whole Princess stuff, despite the fact that her friends have tried to get her into it (and can I say...THANK GOD!!). She likes letters, spelling, numbers, math (can you see a future geek?) but she does like imaginative play with figures, currently this little horse and a little plastic girl who lives in a treehouse who she's named "Tree-a".

I'm going to take a good guess that she would love this treehouse. It's almost 3 feet tall so she can stand, kneel or sit to play (unlike her dollhouse where you pretty much have to lay on your tummy to get into the bottom rooms). There are a few pieces of furniture (a cool hammock and swing, plus a couple of chairs), but there's also this pulley system which really works when you crank it. The treehouse just also happens to look really nice and wouldn't look so bad in a corner of the living room (if you had to), particularly with the fake foliage which would add a bit of indoor green to our place. Thanks to our plant-eating and puking cat, our apartment is plant-less.

Now this is something I'd want to play with, I mean, with my son...
