An animal globe

Animal globe

I liked this simple idea: that you can harness the average toddler's liking for animals and cram some geography in on the back of it. This is a pretty simple globe which places animals in their natural habitat - and let's face it, if your child has only seen animals in books or in the zoo, they don't know what's indigenous and what isn't.

In fact, they may not even realise there's a whole wide world out there. Once they find out that kangaroos are from Australia and penguins are from Antarctica, watch out - they might want to go there.

If the globe catches your child's imagination, there's an accompanying book with more information about all the featured animals.
