Charlie & Sarah - learn Proper English

il_430xN.10729003.jpg

Our UK readers may not see the humor in this post since you probably don't find word "wellies" as amusing or charming as we Americans do. But even if proper British is your first language, you can at least appreciate the wonderful graphics of these kids tees.

When Charlie and Sarah (He's from Brighton, England; she's from Minnesota.) had their first child in America, they created a series of clever flashcards in order to teach their half-English newborn proper British. The tees or "jumpers" evolved from the original block prints that Charlie and Sarah created. In addition to "wellies" and "jumper," Charlie and Sarah's silk-screened series includes other Old School English lessons such as "brolly" and "pudding," on long or short tees and bibs too.

Since I encourage my mini-New Yorker to be as multi-cultural as possible, I ordered two tees: "wellies" and this irresistible "lorry."

Ooh! Broghton! That's where I'm from. But I think you mean 'brolly' not 'brelly' - hee hee.
