PJ Pocket Pillow - Covert Storage, Overt Style

I remember seeing these boxes on some design blog and thought they were cool. But I had no idea they could be used for kids until I saw one in person at one of my favorite stores. Based on pictures I thought they were small and didn't realize that they expand. In fact they are quite large and can go from hat-box-to-hamper size, making them a very versatile, and attractive, storage option for the nursery.
Designed by San Francisco based co, Modern-Twist, this beautiful container was inspired by Japanese anemone box (which is traditionally used to hold family heirlooms). It's called the PJ Pocket Pillow, because it looks like a pillow when not being used to full capacity. But a twist of the lid reveals a secret space, perfect for storing a few PJs, or your child's most treasured items. Adding to the PPP's overall aesthetic allure, are the fabulous prints in colors in which it's available. I'm partial to the orange elephants, but the squirrels are pretty great too. Stylish, functional and fun, the PPP is perfect for the contemporary home, especially one that's short on space.
