The Menace Height Chart

menace_height.jpg

They grow up so fast. Almost too fast. In fact...I think something is up. I'm pretty sure these kids only grow so they can get to all the things we don't want them to go to. When you baby-proof your house or apartment you do it assuming a very small reach. And then suddenly you're talking about things in terms of feet and not inches, and everything changes.

That's why I like the menace height chart. It doesn't tell me how tall my kids are, it tells me how scared I have to be. It tells me where I can safely hide things. It tells me where those little hands can get. You may think you're safe, but the ability to mark every day heights on this laminated chart will tell you exactly how far they can reach. And yes, that ceramic Sonic the Hedgehog you bought at the swap meet?

It's not safe.
