There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly....

Oh how I loved this book/song as a child! I think this is one of those very common children's songs that most adults are familiar with - am I right? Well, if not you should be - talk about making children away of unhealthy eating habits. This famous tune was popularized by Burl Ives and Peter, Paul, & Mary. There are many many editions of this book that one may come across out there but this award winning edition by Simms Taback is especially great because you can purchase an "Old Lady" doll complete with all eight loathsome entrees that the poor woman consumes - and yes, they all fit in her stomach.
