Beleduc Forest Tree Threading Toy

Now, I like lacing toys as much as the next Dad, but sometimes you just wish for a little more creativity. Sure, you can find animal shapes and doll shapes and truck shapes, but they are all in essence the same - they have an outline that you're supposed to follow, and try as I might to just be ok with Ivy's inability to lace it "the right way", I often find myself suggesting where she should lace next to complete the dotted outline the way it's supposed to be laced.

The Beleduc Forest Tree Threading Toy seems like the answer to the traditional lacing toy's creativity-stifling ways. I really like how there are many layers and pieces with all of the leaves, bugs, fruit, and animals. This is the kind of imaginative toy that we like to look for.
