DaBib is a good bib

Bibs. You don't really think about them, yet you use them everyday. The kid, at 3 1/2, is finally off bibs except for the occasional messy meal, but the baby, who's starting to learn how to feed herself, is all about bibs at mealtimes. The one thing I hate is how moldy some of the vinyl, oilcloth and plastic ones get. I was considering going back to cloth bibs, but then got some of these bibs from DaBib and we've been using them ever since. There are 2 styles: Giggles is waterproof and wipes off easily, and Hugs has that same waterproof backing, but has a soft terrycloth front. I was thinking about cloth bibs so I can use them to wipe off the baby's face during meals, but the Hug bib combines the best of both worlds, in my opinion, since it's also waterproof.

The unique thing about these bibs is that it has a soft, fabric scrunch collar that really creates a snug fit, thus catching just about any piece of food or liquid that might escape down the baby's chin and neck. I like it! Will it stay mold-free? I have yet to see, but so far so good, and I've thrown it in the wash and even put it in the dryer (by mistake really, but it came out perfectly fine). The bibs are also a nice size for good coverage, and is lead-free. So far there are only a few pastel colors and their signature stripe available, but I'd love to see them develop DaBib in other colors and patterns.

Check them out on their website.

Hm, looks like they could be good. The biggest problem we have with bibs is that our one-year old always figures out how to take them off. How well do these bibs pass that test?

the baby (almost 1) usually leaves bibs alone, so I can't say much in the way of how well they stay on. She's taken off bibs before in the past, but not these, and I think because the scrunch collar actually has some give and it stretches, it's harder to take off. The velcro is pretty strong.
