Endangered Species of the British Isles Poster

present_and_correct_alphabet_poster.jpg

The family recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to the remote Highlands of Scotland, where one can't help feel close to nature. We quickly learned however, that the rugged beauty of the Highlands was not in fact the way nature made it, but rather the result of centuries of deforestation. Naturally this has impacted the local flora and fauna, which like so many of us worldwide, the Scots are now working to protect. Since my son took a special liking to his newfound Scottish "friends," I thought that this beautiful poster would be a wonderful souvenir of our trip. But I don't think you have to be from the British Isles or even to have recently traveled there to appreciate this wonderful work. I just love the stylized graphics and simple chromatics of it all. Plus the impact of seeing that so many endangered species (and I'm sure this is not near all) exist in a landmass only slightly larger than the state of Maine, makes it an even more powerful lesson.
