Laphoeff beds

Much as I hate to admit it, I fear we've reach the end of contained beds, a.k.a. my toddler has outgrown his crib. Ergo I've embarked on the long search for the perfect “real” bed, and thus it was that the uncommon designs by Laphoeff caught my eye. Since it's founding in 2004, this Dutch company has been churning out funky furnishings, and their kid’s beds are absolutely original. I love the cozy, pink bunk and the boxy, blue bed, but the truly unique concept is the Laphoeff 001 "single bed with storage." All feature kid-friendly forms and colors that are sure to coax my tot to stay in bed. Right?

Living Stateside, I can only imagine the cost of shipping to the US would be prohibitive, but maybe you know a crafty carpenter that can make something similar, or maybe you're lucky enough to live across the pond.
