Mijnes: Frankly astonishing bags

mijnes-nappy-bag

I know that many of our Babygadget readers (and writers) prefer a muted, subtle aesthetic, and while I completely understand and admire that, I have to confess that there's something in these felt collage Mijnes bags that makes my heart leap. The leaves, the colours, the complexity: I like it and I bet a baby would, too. Plus, you know, birds: they might win over a couple of my avian-obsessed co-writers.

There's a huge variety to choose from on their site: the black and white version, pictured above, is about as muted as it gets, but if colour is your thing, you'll be spoilt for choice. And it's not all birds - hippos, giraffes, and even dinosaurs get featured. You can choose from diaper bags, back packs, and these things (below) called 'crib bags', which I suppose are to hang on your crib and keep all your baby accoutrements in one place while amusing the baby with the visuals. Not a concept I have come across before, but I like it.
