Posters from Robin Rosenthal

For the baby's upcoming first birthday, I'm planning on buying this counting poster for her room which is finally coming together and emerging out of the shadow, otherwise known as "my former office". I never really had the time to give the room thought since, well, she came a bit early and I was working so much in the last few months of pregnancy. The older kid's crib and changing table was moved in there after doing an overhaul in her room, and suddenly, the office was the new nursery - bare, but functional.

I figure the baby has enough hand-me-down toys and clothes; she doesn't need any more as presents, but a poster like this is something different and new, and a nice way to celebrate her first birthday. I think as a second child, when your early life is seemingly destined for a never ending stream of hand-me-downs, it's important to give her something once in a while without a former life and owner - something entirely hers.
