Sevi Moto Bike

Out-of-towners are always commenting on how they'd never seen a LikeaBike on the street until they come to our neighborhood. So funny, yet so true. Now that the kid is outgrowing her Kettler trike (not that she ever rode it anyway, at least not until just a few weeks ago when she started to ride with her friends in the building courtyard), I'm looking for the next thing.
I like that the LikeaBike teaches you balance which makes it seem easier to transition to a regular bicycle, but I admit that the steep price tag has always been intimidating. For alternatives, there's a very similar bike called Skuut which comes in at a very reasonable price of $89, and I also found this cool little bike above from Sevi, fashioned a bit more like a motorcycle called the Moto Bike. Price-wise it's in between the Skuut and the LikaBike at $199. It doesn't have a padded seat like the other bikes so I don't know if that makes a difference comfort wise, but I love how it looks.
Available at Oompa Toys.

I saw a similar product at Target for around $50.

This is one cool-looking toy ... although I've never quite gotten the idea behind them. Instead of buying a $15 pair of training wheels for a regular bike, I'm supposed to spend $200 on a bike that they'll outgrow in a year? Um, no.
Thanks for all the cool stuff you folks find - I'll never be able to afford anything fancier than the wall decals, but it's lots of fun looking.

Ahh, target. Guess it always pays to look there first. Gretchen, the friends who have the balance bikes like these have used them for a couple of years. May be worth it if you have siblings to pass down to. But I agree, which is why I haven't spent the money on bikes yet since it's no guarantee that your kid will like it. And yes, lots of fun looking at all the cool kid stuff - doesn't necessarily mean that we can afford them either :)

I've never been able to find the Target bike online. What stores have people seen it in?

*late to the party*
Radio Flyer also makes a beginner's bike for $90-130: http://www.radioflyer.com/specialty/specialty_330.html
KB Toys has it in stock, but at the higher price; apparently you can get it from Amazon for much cheaper.
