Ume hair accessories

ume_bobbypin.jpg

Having 2 girls means that we have a lot of hair accessories around the house, mostly purchased at various Asian stores on my trips to Flushing, and some really cool ones brought back by my dad from Korea. I would love to add a couple of these ume hair pins made from vintage Japanese silk kimonos to our collection. The ume (plum blossoms) are bigger than they look (see pic of girl) and the fabrics and colors are so pretty. Hey, you gotta indulge on some of the girly girl stuff once in a while, despite the fact that the kid seems more and more like a tomboy these days. My only hesitation is that there doesn't seem to be a place on the site to specify colors when ordering, I suppose because the fabrics are all unique. So it's sort of a gamble on which color/pattern you'll get...or you can think of it as a nice surprise waiting for you in the mail.
