Wooden cakes

wooden cakes

On the one hand: like so many mums these days, I'm trying to bring up my daughter to recognise a healthy diet, with plenty of wholefoods and not too much sugar.

On the other hand: OMG this set is so lovely. I just know any child would get hours of fun from the cakes with their stand: selling them in a play shop, or setting them out for a pretend tea. I think the loveliness wins. I can always try a subliminal lesson.

- Would you like to buy a cake Mummy?
- Oh yes, please, I'll take three, because it's my birthday and a very special occasion and I really don't eat cake every day. Usually, I have fruit...

Hmm, a little heavy-handed, do you think? Well, I can work on it. Wooden cakes, just £9.99, from Letterbox.
