BabyPlates

BabyPlates are just that - customizable Swedish "license" plates for your stroller made from aluminum with safety reflector foil. Now, I'm not suggesting that you actually hang these on your stroller (I wouldn't) but I do think they would look great on a bedroom door or wall. I'm a big fan of anything to do with lettering and typography and there's something I like about the high contrast black letters and outline on white. The kid actually has her name on her door on one of those small souvenir blue metal license plates that I think my mom bought somewhere on her travels, but there's no way that we'd find Baby C's name on a rack of pre-made names. These plates can accommodate up to 11 characters and a birth date - a nice way to commemorate a birth.

I love the idea of these, but only for the wall in my kids' room.
The idea of putting their names on their stroller, so any stranger could see it, and then call them by name? Is probably unwise in this dangerous day and age.

Here in Sweden almost everyone has them on their strollers.

Yes, this is what I gathered from the site - that it is quite common in Sweden. Very different though here in America!
