Teaparty bed

It's time for us to explore the bed options out there as Tabitha well and truly outgrows her crib, and that means that I'll be sharing the best of my finds with you, Babygadget's readers. My absolute favourite so far, the Lifetime Teaparty Bed, at a cool £1,000 odd (including mattress) is unfortunately well beyond my price range. But I feature it anyway, just in case you'd like to join me in my drooling.
Of course, the first thing to catch the eye is the anarchic sketchy drawing on its side, but this bed is plenty practical, too. There's a removable toy box at the foot (genius! A place to store those bedtime toys) and a capacious underbed drawer too. The side table is cute, allowing you to 'join' the animals in their teaparty. And there are optional matching stools.
But like I say, this one is waaaaay beyond our budget. Even with the free delivery. So I'll continue to dream, or maybe start seeking out talented local carpenters with an eye to using it as inspiration.

It would be remarkably easy to make something very like that. You could just frame around an ordinary bed. Or even just a mattress and box spring on the floor. And you, with your artistic ability, could create your own replica (or alternate version) of that little tableau.
I love the little table. You could make that a fold-away thing, to free up more space in the room when it's not being used.
