Old-time jigsaw puzzles

french-puzzles

These French jigsaw puzzles really take me back. I can almost feel the thick wooden shapes with the design papered on: my grandmother had something very similar which she would get out from her sideboard every time we visited. There is something rather pleasing about giving your own child some of the same experiences you had yourself, though I'm not sure why. In any case, the retro designs are appealing, even if they don't bring your own childhood days flooding back. UK company Couverture offer these, at £19.00 for the set of six.

I recently interviewed a world-class jigsaw puzzle collector. I thought the post might be of interest to you.

Wow, Marty, that's a subject I knew nothing about and would never have read if you hadn't provided the link. Hearty thanks.
