Simply Wonderful Christmas: A Literary Advent Calendar

I came across this while looking for an advent calender. I know, it's late to be talking about advent calenders, but growing up we used the same advent calenders every year - they weren't the paper and chocolate kind. And so it was with that sentiment that I started searching for advent calenders and realized that what I was looking for wasn't so easy to find. So, it may be late, but traditions being what they are, I'm looking ahead towards next Christmas. Anyway, being the english-major type who's signifigant other is the international business type - this Simply Wonderful Christmas: A Literary Advent Calender seems to fit our family. From December 1-24 there is a short story for each day that tell of Christmas traditions from other countries and cultures. I think that the stories may be more suited for children slightly older than ours - but I think this is a fantastic alternative to chocolate filled paper boxes.
