Fun drawers from Vertbaudet

vertbaudet-drawers.jpg

French company Vertbaudet has a jaunty, and often surprising, line of furniture every season, alongside the clothing they are better-known for. The pieces have a quirky aesthetic that works particularly well in the nursery, and the prices are often surprisingly low (the predominant material is generally MDF, which may explain that).

Here's one item that I really love: a chest of drawers with a little transparent space at the front of each drawer, so you can display small toys, pictures, or whatever else you fancy. It's so ingenious, and allows you to get creative and individual.

I should mention that I've subsequently purchased this, and spent last night constructing it. It's worth noting that it comes flat-packed, and is quite a complex build. They reckoned it would take an hour; I think it came in at more like two and a half. But I am rather pleased with it, now it's done.
