The Knox & Floyd Tin Robot Musical Drummer

tinrobot.jpg

There is something about mechanical toys that hits me in all the right places, and I love the fact that my children enjoy them too. Electronic toys take all the magic out of things - you know that there is a microchip in there and that's how it works. A mechanical toy, however, is another desgin altogether. I spend enough time in front a computer and it's nice to have something that moves mechanically and makes some noise. My current obsession is the Knox & Floyd Tin Robot Musical Drummer. He's delightfully colorful and drums away with just a twist of his key.

He looks nice enough that you won't mind putting him on display, and at $30 he's inexpensive enough that you won't actually mind taking him down and playing with him. I'll take two, please.
