A New Kind of Picnic Basket: The Plastica Bento Box

If you're like me (a tad on the crazy/overly-cautious side about what your child is eating), then you're familiar with packing lunches and healthy snacks so that your kid doesn't get his hands on (gasp!) a little high fructose corn syrup. Of course, this must mean that you're equally frustrated about how not everything works in sandwich form or fits conveniently into most toddler plasticware.

This is looking like a strong contender as my new picnic basket: the Bento Box by Plastica. It's made of melamine (therefore not microwave safe), can hold several different dishes (sandwich or otherwise) separately, and comes in different shapes and sizes. Plus, they just look really cool and are probably easier to carry than a traditional basket.
