Forget Gucci. Try Gucio for baby's feet instead.

Recently my son outgrew his size 5W's after a far too short 3 months in them. I'm not really enjoying the shoe shopping as much as I should be since kid's footwear is getting so expensive and cookie cutter. I want something that's supportive but a bit more unique than your typical sneaker. Gucio shoes seem to be just that. Created by Polish shoe designer Sławomir Piwowarczyk, these shoes feature a self-stiffening back that adapts exactly to the individual width of child's heel. Indeed, Gucio shoes won the "Healthy Foot" certificate from the Central Laboratory of Shoes Industry in Poland.

As far as styles go, there's only one model with just a few variations on the body of the shoe for warmer weather. As Piwowarczyk says, "Instead of introducing to the market a wide variety of models - according to present fashion - I decided to concentrate on just one perfect model. My goal was to improve GUCIO all the time in order to make small children feel happy about them." Well, if they're cool enough for Apple Martin, then they must be cool enough for your kid.

Available at Enfant Terrible.
