Sleep ahoy! : the boat-shaped toddler bed

The British firm Great Little Trading Company has quite a range of appealing toddler beds, but none of them are exactly what you'd call unusual - none of them except this boat bed, that is.

What a lovely idea: ideas immediately spring to mind of floating down the river to dreamland (stop me if I'm being too sappy here...). In addition, it's low enough for any toddler to climb right into, and there's no fear of falling out too far, either.

The bow of the boat doubles as somewhere to stow away toys or (small amounts of) bedding, and, showing GLTC's attention to detail, it features a safety hinge so it won't snap shut on anyone's fingers. When closed, it makes a nice place to sit. At £150 (without mattress), this is, to my mind, a bargain.
