Tulip and Nettle: clothes for chic kids

In 1998, in the North East of England, a clothing company named Tulip was founded. In tune with today's times, it followed a strict ethos of sourcing, manufacturing and dispatching its clothes entirely from the local area. Apparently, the name was changed to Tulip and Nettle when a boy complained about the 'girly' label in his trousers.
Personally, I might have told the boy to live with it, but I admit that the new name is more distinctive. Neatly, so are many of their clothes. Some of their pieces are rather too traditional or soppy for my own liking, but there are certainly a good few which are quite unlike anything you'll find on the High Street. The cut of these items looks like it works really well, and if the prices are a little higher than you're used to, I guess it's worth remembering that you're supporting an ethical, local company which pledges to use top-quality materials.
