Creative Thursday Book

Long before Urban Outfitters "discovered" her, I was a fan of artist Marissa Haedike of Creative Thursday. Featuring a menagerie of cuddly critters set against minimalist backgrounds, her paintings and prints grace many a nursery - including mine. Now you can enjoy a whole collection of Marisa's work in the form of her new book, due out this August. "Who are you going to be today Olive?" is a tale of a little bird learning to be herself with the help of a few friends. Written by Marisa, the book features 22 of her vivid color illustrations. The first 100 advanced, hardcover, copies ordered will be numbered and signed by Marisa herself. Paperbacks will be printed later this year.
