Shape-sorting lorry

janod-shapesorting-lorry.jpg

In amongst all the brash plastic and beeping light-up baby toys, it's nice to come across something that you, as an adult, would love to run your hand across and maybe even have a quick go with yourself. After all, you're the one who'll be putting it away every day (in this case, all 22 pieces of it).

The Janod shape-sorting lorry has hidden depths, as well. Like most shape-sorters, it challenges the child to match holes with shapes, but, when done correctly, it also displays gradated shades of colour. Presumably that means the visually-oriented child can find the solution one way, while the physically-oriented can pick a different method.
