Animal Plug Safety Covers

animal_plug_covers.jpg

I've never understood why someone doesn't make childproofing devises that are NOT downright hideous. Seems to me that by adding just a dash of design, someone could make a fortune. Well, it seems that the folks at DCI Products thought the same thing. Thus they have come out with these jolly, animal silhouette, plug covers. Aren't they cute?

Still, I'm not sure how I feel about them. They're certainly cool looking, but not only to design-minded parents. Hmmm. Wouldn't one want to make plug covers that are actually less attractive to the toddlers that they're trying to thwart!?

the idea is to keep your toddler away from the outlet.

this is like one of those failed japanese inventions.

design minded parents like myself prefer the simpler cleaner look of flat white caps.

In my world, I don't want cute safety equipment. Sorry, but plain and boring are less likely to attract my children over colorful and cute animals.

I was thinking the same thing. I would figure that the plugs would look too much like a toy for the kids its trying to protect.

I like them but no way would I use something that would potentially attract my child to danger.
