Cardboard Treehouses

A good cardboard gadget rarely escapes our attention here. The latest concept I came across were these sturdy white cardboard structures available at Creative Toyshop where the motto is "create, play, recycle." Each design (ranging in sizes and including everything from palaces to locomotives to treehouses) can be put together without the use of scissors of glue. Once assembled, allow your child's imagination to wander as he/she decorates using the washable markers included or whatever medium best suits his/her age (and your tolerance for sticky, glittery messes). Unlike most art projects, however, the finished product here is not meant to be admired from afar, but to be played with (Playmobil dolls are a perfect fit) until the cardboard is ready to be retired. Or better yet, recycled.
