Charlie and Lola accessories

charlie_lola_wellies

I know I'm not alone as a parent when I say that I really appreciate the Charlie and Lola books, TV programme, and comic. Unlike so many TV programmes and their tie-ins, the production qualities are consistently high. The cartoons and books promote good behaviour, and the comics encourage both social responsibility and artistic sensibilities. How do they do that without coming across as preachy, and at the same time wrapping it all up in a pleasing aesthetic? Dunno, but I wish I could be so clever.

Here in the UK, Charlie and Lola products are fairly readily available if you search the 'nice' toy shops. In our local library, for example, you can buy bookends, pencil cases and lunch boxes. The only place I've seen these pretty welly boots - featuring the trademark butterflies - is Brighton boutique Toby Tiger. Aren't they lovely?

You'll find Charlie and Lola books and other products (though not the boots yet) are available at Amazon.
