Felt Bracelets by Kristin Caskey

caskey_bracelet%5B1%5D.jpg

Not too long ago, the suggestion was made that, instead of doing a little goody bag for your party guests, perhaps one small but lovely treat should be given. I quite like that idea, so I thought I'd put my two cents in on the matter. Can't you just picture a gaggle of little girls in party dresses running around with these colorful beaded felt bracelets dangling on their arms? A fashion designer, sculptor and professor, artist Kristin Caskey studied at Parsons School of Design and believes that "clothing reads as sculpture, and blurs the boundaries between fashion, fiber, and performance." Sounds good to me. Plus, you'll be the hostess with the mostess when you send your little one's friends home looking ever-so fashion forward.

Available at Quirk.

These are cute bracelets, but at $48 a pop I think that's a bit excessive for a party gift. Maybe as a present for another child but instead of goody bags - that's quite expensive.

these are cute, but you do realize that $48 is a lot of money for a kids party favor, right?
