gLovies: What's next, pre-schooler hazmat suits?

Sometimes I cover my toddler's mouth when he coughs or sneezes. I direct him away from picking up trash on the ground or dipping his hands into filthy puddles. Touching the wheels on his stroller? A no-no. Washing hands is something we do often. So, what the heck is with these gLovies from My Mom Knows Best, Inc.?

These disposable sanitary hand mittens are meant to be worn by kids in public restrooms or in other areas where they might touch some downright filthy stuff ("public transportation, amusement parks"). A good idea? Maybe. I mean, we've all seen at least one of those news clips showing us the germs lurking in high traffic areas. But I draw the line when I see some kid wearing them at the petting zoo.

This seems a little extreme to me... i mean even if you put them on the kid's hands, chances are they're still going in his mouth.

Gas station bathrooms would be the exception. I can mos def see putting these on a kid's hands for the Chevron. The Chevron and that new club down the street.
