Little Tree and more books by Katsumi Komagata

Katsumi Komagata is an award winning Japanese graphic designer who, like many other artists, was inspired by the birth of his daughter to start producing sets of visual games on folding cards. His series of children's books shortly followed. Most books tell a short story in words (in both Japanese and English texts) while some simply convey a tale using textures and pictures.

Interestingly enough, Komagata was commissioned by the town of Grenoble, France to pen a book as part of their "un bebe, un livre" mission in which each child born is presented with a book in honor of his or her arrival. His books are available at enfant terrible and are quite expensive, but the occassional precious book (that won't be torn to shreds) might just be worth it.
