This velvet rabbit costs money

velvet_rabbit

The price-tag of £125.00 (approx US $ 250) suggests that this velvet rabbit (and the other options of an elephant or a puffin) is the king of all soft toys. Beautiful as it is, I am left wondering who on earth can afford such an item, knowing that, while loved, it's also likely to end up dribbled on, threadbare, and leaking its stuffing.

Indeed, maybe I should say "if" loved. We've all bought soft toys or dolls for our kids that are looked at once and somehow don't stick, and never get played with again. Whatever the rules are, they're too mysterious for parents to fathom. And can you imagine how sick you'd feel if you shelled out 250 quid, only to find that this was one of the bottom-of-the-toy-chest toys?

One for the celebrity mums only, then, perhaps. Or the super-rich, or super-indulgent? Would you ever pay that much, for a special toy?

Heck no, I'd make one for about $10 and put the rest towards her college fund!
