Do you know a koala named Pénélope?

OK, who knows anything about this blue koala named Pénélope? A few weeks ago, we walked into a local toyshop, and found jigsaws, cups, trays and notebooks, all featuring this woolly, painterly creature. She's seemingly sprung, fully formed, with her own universe of friends and exciting outdoor activities like sailing and camping. I kind of like her style, and guess from her name that she's a French character. The rest is anyone's guess. If you know more, do enlighten me!

I recognized that illustration style--Penelope is the creation of Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben, who have done many wonderful books/characters. You can see Penelope's book at http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Penelope-at-School/Anne-Gutman/e/9780439673570

Penelope is a character in a children's book. My daughter (whose name is also Penelope) had this book called "penelope at the farm"
