Pull-along snail

Name an animal that you'd expect to see on the shelves of a toy shop. Snuggly, cuddly bears? Flippy, floppy rabbits? How about, slimy, gastropod-y snails? Not my first thought, either, but a quick search on snail in our archives will show you that they are a popular and recurring theme for today's toymakers.

There again, the bright jolly colours and shapes of this pull-along are far-removed from the strawberry-munching, nematode-dodging nemeses that I find in my garden. So why not hug a snail, hmm?
