Brickhouse Child Locator System

Have you seen the Duracell add where the mom and her son are at the park, mom turns away for "just one second" and the little boy is nowhere to be seen? Fortunately, her tot is tagged and she is equipped with the Brickhouse Child Locator system (filled with Duracell batteries), which she quickly activates and, voila! Her son turns the corner holding a red balloon and looking just happy as ever.
My husband didn't realize that the child's part of the system is a wrist band and quickly exclaimed, "We should totally microchip our kids, too." Alas, darling, baby must wear a wristband for this "homing device" (really) to be complete. The "tag" has a 90-day battery life, will "track" your kid up to 24 times within 600 feet and alert you if he wanders too far by beeping. For $280, some may argue that the child locator is worth the peace of mind. For a few hundred dollars more, you can get an actual GPS tracking system instead.
Available at Brickhouse Child Safety, along with nanny cams, teen drug tests and bullet proof backpacks (really).

Ok, you have to be seriously paranoid to buy something like this. I'm sorry, but you're more likely to be hit by lightning than have your child kidnapped. I suppose if you're in a bitter custody battle, they might go up slightly, but still...
