Anka highchair

anka.jpg

Highchair designs keep getting better and better and if this highchair were around in the early days when I needed one with my first kid, I would have snatched it up in a second. The Anka chair, designed by the makers of the Svan highchair, accommodates babies from age 6 months and up and can be used with or without the Phthalate-free and bisphenol-A plastic tray cover. I love that it can grow with your child and be pushed right up to the table for meals with the family. And the best thing about it? It's relatively affordable at $179. It comes in 3 wood finishes and a choice of 5 cushion colors. Have I mentioned that it also folds for storage? Yes, I do love this highchair - pity that we are no longer in need of one in my house.

Available at Fawn & Forest, with no tax and free shipping.

It looks tippy side to side, though stable front to back. Do you have any insight into what kind of testing a highchair must undergo to ensure safety? More than one friend has a story about hearing a crash and seeing their child on the floor and still strapped into the chair.
