Dabbawalla Bags

This winter, make going to school a little more fun with a jolly new backpack or lunch bag from Dabbawalla. Featuring kid-friendly designs from bold elephants to succulent watermelons, these eye-catching sacks are sure to be hit with kids and parents alike. That's because they're generously proportioned with many convenient pockets, and also perfectly sized for tots' bods. And because they're constructed entirely out of durable neoprene, the same material that wetsuits are made out of. This versatile fabric, which has recently come out of the water to appear in many more land-based products, "protects, insulates and cushions without worry of lead or PVC" and at the same time is also machine washable, stain-resistant, and sturdy. Personally, I like the way neoprene feels, and the way colors on it appear more rich and saturated. Besides being attractive and practical, Dabbawalla bags are also socially conscious - crafted according to fair trade practices. That's just good for everyone.

These backpacks are so cute! I love that they are made out of neoprene as well. With two boys, I need something that is VERY durable. Thanks for the idea.

Those bags are very cute. I was just wondering whether the neoprene material is issued from the petroleum industry (majority), which may be very polluting (though socially conscious ?). I know some neoprene is now issued from limestone, and considered more respectful of the environment.
