Shinzi Katoh Aluminum Water Bottle
I know that these water bottles are a bit more expensive than the Sigg bottles (which I think are expensive to begin with), but it's Shinzi Katoh! Japanese illustrator extraordinaire! Isn't that justification enough?

We got one of these for Christmas, its beautiful. However, it is NOT a SIGG bottle. That surprised me, it's by SERENO, Shinzi Katoh's line. So you can't switch the cap for the sippy SIGG ones. Oh well, it's adorable and I'll be packing it w/ baby's lunch when she's bigger.
Anyone know anythign about the safety standards on BPA on these bottles? What are the standards in Japan on leaching?

I agree J, I fell for the cute apple design but was disappointed to find that it does not have a sports mouth piece like the Sigg, just a wide mouth which makes it hard for little ones to drink from. I too thought I could just screw on a spare Sigg top but it isn't compatible. Its so cute though, we'll use it eventually (a vase?!).
