Studio Nommo

What happens when a Babygadget writer and confirmed reader of style blogs decides to redecorate her house? Well, one predictable effect is that the wallpaper designs available in her local DIY shops simply won't do. Before you know it, obscure posts are dug up, links followed, and she's set her heart on an amazing design that will have the budget spiralling out of control.

I speak from experience, naturally. After a few evenings of desultory clicking around, Studio Nommo's designs came like a bolt from the blue. And once I'd seen them, there was no going back.

Since that's so, I can give you a first-person account of the process. This Turkish studio take a personalised approach, inviting you to send your wall's measurements and a photo which they will obligingly Photoshop to show you what the chosen design will look like in situ. Once you've swallowed and shelled out the cash, they will send your design to print (which means that in many cases you can also choose the ground colour for yourself), delivering it within four weeks (with free postage within the EU).

Keep reading, and I'll let you know how the finished thing works out, four weeks hence... I'm holding my breath.
