Lovely rugs from Oliver Yaphe

I'm always on the hunt for that elusive, perfect rug. But with small children and a cat, my search may have to wait until the kids are a bit older. In the meantime, I have earmarked a few companies that I would love to revisit should that time come when I can invest in a really nice rug. I recently found Oliver Yaphe when designer Katherine Yaphe emailed me with images of her collection. The rugs are all hand-knotted so price does reflect that craftsmanship, but there is a line of lower priced rugs in the works. With themes like "books", "branches" and "lanterns", the designs are graphic, minimal and appealing, but I've always been drawn to stripes and these striped rugs are no exception.

As a new mom, Katherine has launched a kids rug collection with the same sensibilities. Oliver Yaphe rugs will be available in the US at Fawn & Forest in a month or so. In the meantime, if you are interested in a purchase, email Katherine at info@oliveryaphe.com and mention babygadget to receive 25% off.
